"Sirens" features a custom designed jellyfish inlay rising above a cheese wedge, and nestled into the center of a cutting board.
The inlay, composed of brass, abalone, mother of pearl, polyester pearl, and acrylic, is set into a slab of black walnut.
The concept of this piece ties together imagery relating to music and artwork of Colorado band, The String Cheese Incident. The request of the client was to design a board intended to be used to cut and serve cheese.
